There's very little graffiti this year compared to a couple of years ago, I read somewhere that a lot of it was painted over last fall. Most of the ones below come from one house near Santo Domingo and the last one is from Ocotlan.

I always love to go to Ocotlan's market, about 1 hour out of Oaxaca. Had to edit the number of pics to post but these will hopefully give you an idea of the bustle..

Dia #9 - Today's yoga lesson

I love to go to yoga  every morning at the above yoga studio, Casa del Angel. Today's message was to love oneself, illustrated by this Sufi poem:

Dios respecta el hombre que trabaja, pero ama el que baila
(God respects the man who works, but he loves the one who dances)

Some of you are probably thinking that I didn't need any more encouragement in that field... Heck, la vida es corta....

Dia #6 - Street festivals

The mood was very festive last week end in Oaxaca (as usual..). There were a couple of parades, weddings, traditional dance performances, etc... Always the occasion to dress up in traditional costumes.I wish I could post some sound recording because the music is always very happy..
